Trademark Unveils New Mural, Celebrates Pottery Barn and West Elm’s Openings at Westbend

Fort Worth, TX (June 23, 2026) — Trademark Property Company (Trademark), a leading mixed-use investor, developer, and operator, has unveiled its latest art piece at Westbend as part of the company’s ongoing investment in public art. The two 12-foot installations were created by renowned Texan artist Jon Flaming and coincide with the openings of Pottery Barn and West Elm at the 281,000-square-foot mixed-use community.

“Jon is Texan through-and-through, so it was a natural decision to license art by him for Westbend,” said Terry Montesi, CEO and Founder at Trademark. “Art plays an important part in our approach to placemaking, and we’re committed to creating places that form deep emotional connections with the surrounding community. Welcoming two major retailers to the property alongside the debut of this installation marks another exciting milestone for us and for Westbend.”

As seen in photos, Flaming is known for his bold and colorful representations of Texas scenes, including cowboys, cattle, and rural landscapes. His regionalist style is reminiscent of the best from the classic bygone Texas era, and his work hangs in many prominent museums, including the permanent collection of the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth and the Booth Museum of Western Art in Georgia.

Trademark has invested significantly in its public art program at Westbend. Flaming’s installation joins distinctive works by local artists, such as Laura Kimpton’s Love sculpture, Kyle Steed’s murals, and the Amon Carter photography collection. Trademark is also adding other capital improvements across the property, including repainting the crosswalks in a similar style to Flaming’s artwork, seen here.

Having opened on June 19, Pottery Barn and West Elm bring the retail component to 100% leased. Owned by Williams-Sonoma, Inc., the home furnishings brands operate side-by-side in the former Market by Macy’s store, occupying 22,126 square feet of ground-floor retail space along the Trinity River and Trinity Trail system. Pottery Barn is a premier specialty retailer for casual, comfortable and stylish home furnishings, while West Elm is known for its modern furnishings, contemporary design aesthetic, and curated assortment of furniture, décor, lighting and home accessories.

Trademark developed Westbend’s first phase in 2016 – transforming a dated office building into a vibrant community hub. The company is embarking on the second phase with the construction of Westbend Residences, a 321-unit multifamily community featuring 4,500 square feet of restaurant space on 3.5 acres along the Trinity River at 1701 S. University Dr. The plan also features an enhanced trailhead and public amenities, such as a bike repair station, public art, and outdoor gathering spaces.

Trademark’s national mixed-use, retail, multifamily, and institutional services portfolio includes Galleria Dallas, Left Bank, Westbend, Alliance Town Center, Westbend Residences, and The Vickery in Dallas–Fort Worth; Market Street – The Woodlands; Longview Mall in Longview; Anthem in Arlington; LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch in Katy; Great Hills Market & Station in Austin; Dunham Pointe in Cypress; La Palmera in Corpus Christi; Shawnee Trail in Celina; Shivers Farm in Southlake; Winter Garden Village in Winter Garden, Florida; The Shops at Saddle Creek in Memphis; Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge; First Street Napa in Northern California; Beachwood Place in Beachwood, Ohio; and Zona Rosa in Kansas City, Missouri.
